Al Mustafa Welfare Trust has been working in Palestine since 2013 and supporting orphans, providing health care, helping with family food pack, emergency relief pack and through planting olive tree we are changing lives for the better.
Symbols of Palestine, olive trees can last for around 1,000 years and are a primary source of income for around 80,000 Palestinian families. But unfortunately, the progressing conflict and illegal settlement in the region have led to the uprooting of 2.5 million trees since 1967 - one-third of which are olive trees.
Olives are also considered a blessed fruit in Islam and have been mentioned several times both in the Quran and Hadith: “And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters.” [Surah al-Muminoon 23:20]
Our goal is to plant 50,000 olive trees for the people of Gaza, where you have already delivered 18,000 trees. With only a small donation of just £10 you can be a part of a big change.

As olive trees are big and strong, it takes a while until we can bear their beautiful fruit. In two years’ time we will be able to reap the fruits from these trees. Going forwards, these olive trees will continue to produce countless olives, offering both nutrition and sources of livelihood to vulnerable Palestinian farmers.
This year, we will be planting our next large batches of olive trees, intending to support even more Palestinian farmers in need. Olive trees help Palestinian families gain independence, strength and stability in an ever-changing and challenging environment in Palestine. Years of conflict have left millions in desperate need in Palestine, and these olive trees offer hope, support and comfort.
