UK – February 2025: More than 1,400 people gathered at an event organized by Al Mustafa Welfare Trust in the UK (Manchester, London, and Birmingham). Ustad Rafaqat Ali Khan, a world-renowned nasheed artist and Sufi singer, made the evening even more special, performing alongside his sons.
The main objective of the event was to raise funds to provide cataract surgeries and prevent blindness. The gathering was not just about enjoyment—it was about transforming lives through powerful and heartfelt speeches. The event reminded everyone of the importance of working together for a greater cause: restoring sight, improving lives, and giving people the self-esteem and independence they deserve.
Yet, many in Gaza and other underprivileged communities, such as those in Africa and Pakistan, continue to suffer simply because they cannot afford treatment.
Cataract surgery, a quick and effective procedure, can restore sight and help individuals regain their freedom.
Al Mustafa Welfare Trust is at the forefront of the fight against blindness, having provided 252,433 cataract surgeries and conducted 2,403 eye camps for treatments so far. Funds raised at this event will help ensure that no one is left in darkness due to poverty or a lack of resources. Every ticket sold and every act of kindness directly contributed to funding surgeries and supporting the eye hospital project.
Al Mustafa Welfare Trust is committed to continuing its goal of helping people in need. This event had a considerable effect, but the need for help is still there.
